Well lets start from 2006... since it's the easiest to find and we'll add in more from there.

As for the rest it'll be harder as there are dozens and dozens of fourm posts everywhere of people taking the 40-50 million dollar budget as simple common knowledge.

are you sure, because from what I read, they said their "BUDGET" is over 21 million.

Not "we've already spent 21 million".

The production budget... and it's well known since then it's gone over budget.

So it was at over 21 million... (by a good amount if they can definitivly state it's more expensive)... then we know they went over budget. 

Hell you could tell that by the fact that the games been "delayed" twice.

How would you know? Banjo-Kazooie is a popular and establish franchise with a big fanbase.

I personally think killzone 2 will struggle to reach sales upwards of 700k ww lifetime which is still a decent amount but in the eyes of the fanboys it isn't.



nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

a "reported claim", it's really not a solid source. But if it does has a 40 million budget, then Anything short of AAA quality would consider disappointing.

What would you consider a "solid source"? That's how journalism works. You get info from sources because unless they REALLY wanna brag they ain't gonna tell you directly.

We know it was over 21 million, bu an ammount to where if they went unerbudget a bit it was still more expensive... then they've added months over months of manhours on that, everyones reporting 40 million +, they brought in an AI guy that seemed unplanned... since he was brought in in 2008.  Showing they basically were having trouble with the AI.

it's pretty obvious even without digging out the needle in the perverbial haystack.
