The graphics are constantly being enhanced and polished, in the single month period between which the debut trailer was released and scenes were displayed at E3 we saw a huge increase in quality of the graphics.

Montana, you have every right to be aprehensive with these early screenshots, but this game will most likely make you glad to recant your first impressions when the final product arrives.

DMeisterJ, no surprise seeing you trying to bash this game and call a game, no more generic than any other FPS, "generic" as if it honestly stands out in mediocrity anymore than any gray scale bloom saturated environment in any of our HD FPSs.

Call of Duty - Warfare

Killzone 2 - Sci-Fi War

With a genre as generic and bland as FPSs typically are you of all people wait for Nintendo to get their own before you start calling them on this? Bullshit.

Sorry, the Wii is going to win this generation no matter the games in question may be and pave the groundwork for a Nintendo console next generation which will most likely dominate in a way that will rival the NES's monopoly. I'm sorry you prefer the HD consoles (after all many do), this is reality, Nintendo's Wii has the means to expand into all Markets, the PS3 and 360 simply don't. So while the PS3 and 360 make feigned attempts at trying to rally the casual crowd with gimmicky controllers and kiddy games, Nintendo is the only company with any potential to actually expand beyond its limited horizons.

This is a messy generation for all three consoles and there will be much missed out on for all three when it comes to certain games. Get used to it.

There is something wrong with claiming the game is surrounded by hypocritical fanboys, without any proof to back that up. In what ways are they supposed to be hypocritical?

And some of us are explicit in that the game is not original. It's just that the Wii isn't getting much of these games.

What do you mean, no proof? The people who can't keep their pants on when this game gets mentioned are the same people who've been downplaying FPS games this whole generation.

Let me rephrase that. It's wrong to imply that most of the people admiring it are hypocrites (hence the term "surrounded by"), with no proof. Sure there are some hypocrites, but those are just fanboys anyway.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

If this game is pretty good, I will get it.
Right now, from the videos, it looks pretty dadgum good.
More color than a lot of HD FPS games.

Yeah, what is it with the utter lack of colour and those overly dominant murky brown/gray scales anyway..? If that's to try and make those games look realistic, it's failing kind of utterly. Reality has colour, you know.

Yeah, the graphics are not impressive and I've heard nothing about the gameplay so far to get me impressed. I think it's just because High Voltage said nice things about the Wii (which is actually pretty hilarious, since all they've made for the Wii so far is shovelware, save for Gyrostarr which can be deemed average).

 

 

I agree. Gameplay wise, it looks a bit Red Steel esque, and Graphics wise it isn't really all that impressive.

This game is going to be a "flop" on most of the internet, as its quality won't live up to the hype.

 

Every site that has hands on time or an in depth preview for the game has nothing but good things to say about it. That has to be worth something. I mean, unless you guys think that by looking at the game you can tell the quality of it. Maybe I should get into the visually reviewing games 9 months before they come out industry. It seems like it would be easy. Does it pay well?

It looks better in motion though the environmental textures still need some work, and it's a blast to play, so why the complaints?

The irony here is that half the people bitching about this game were hyping up Lair and Haze as saviors for the PS3.
