I enjoyed the game and am anticipating the sequel. My biggest complaints were that the main story line is ridiculously short (can be done in 6-8 hours) and the side missions are extremely repetitive and can get a bit boring. Would it have been that difficult to add some alternate base designs for the side missions? There's basically four: above gound, underground, mining and cargo ship.

Bringing Down The Sky was fun. I hope they release more DLC missions soon.

I've already played for 9 hours, I am less than half way through. I have stayed on the main path most of the time, though I have just landed on a random planet (mostly for the acheivement!) it is a little bit of fun, a nice 10 minute disctraction, but I can see how it gets old

How much is Bringing down the sky? If it is good I may get it, I expect I will play the game through a second time if it is only 6-8 hours (are the later planets shorter?) and do it then. How long is it as well, because I heard stuff about how it was too short

Ouch, madskillz: your bet about GTAIV ain't going well!

And by the end of '09, the PS3 version will surpass the 360 version in sales.

What?

Benezia gave me my first near controller-throwing moment of Mass Effect after I died about 10 times. But once I figured out what to do, it seemed almost impossible to die against her again, even on Insane.

Did you do any of the side missions before leaving the Citadel?

My first playthrough on normal (didn't rush it and did all of the game's side missions) was 30 hours, 2nd playthrough on hardcore (did 80% of the side missions) was 20 hours and 3rd playthrough on insanity (rushed and did 75% of the side missions, mainly the easiest ones) was about 15 hours. I used new game+ for the 2nd and 3rd playthroughs so my stats and equipment carried over both times.

Bringing Down The Sky costs 400 ms points ($5). Play time was about an hour and a half. I did it on insanity so it was much harder than doing it on normal. The Batarians were a tough kill. You have to fight a lot of them.

I was wondering have people bought this not realisng its an RPG with tons of text / talking in it? Coz the way games are marketed these days, its getting harder to know right of the bat what type of game it is i wreckon.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I did not do many, I was going to do them mostly in my second playthrough, though I dont think I really get much out of them, though i might do some more to make sure that I am leveled up enough for a hardcore playthrough

With the new game plus, can you change your Shepherd in any way? As in can I become something other than a soldier, or will I have to start a completely new game to do that?

Sounds like a decent price for that amount

If your current game has Shepherd as a soldier then he'll remain a soldier in new game+.

Dam, I just may start a new game with him as something else (a vanguard?) because the assault rifle acheivement gives you assualt abilites in all classes.
