This list doesn't fail because Nobuo Uematsu is number one, it fails because he's number one and they mention his work in FFVII and FFVIII over his work in FFVI.

Will Wright should have not only been on that list, but it would have been a crime for him to not make the top 5. Where the hell is Sid Meier also? John Carmack and the Prince of Persia guy over those two? Pathetic. Also to not have Yu Suzuki there is a fucking crime. Virtua Fighter, Shenmue, Daytona USA, After Burner, Outrun, SPace Harrier, Virtua Cop, Sword of Vermilion and Fighting Vipers can't get you on a top ten list anymore? Forget Miyamoto, there's too many other crimes on this list to worry about that. At least he placed on it. Worst list i've seen in a long time.

Hahhaa, damn straight.  I'm definitely not complaining about Uematsu, but yeah, FF6 is his best work and is one of my favorite game scores of all time.  It's up there with Katamari and classic Mario for me.

Yokoi should replace Sakamoto because he made Duck Hunt and Dr. Mario and Super Mario Land and Kid Icarus and the Game Boy and the Virtual Boy and Ice Climbers and Balloon Fight and who knows what else.  Sakamoto only did Metroid.  Hell, Yokoi should top this list just for making the Game Boy.

Will Wright should be in the top 3 or so.  Sim City was a gaming revolution with a million clones to this day.  And so was the Sims.  He changed the industry.  Twice.

I can't sort out the rest of the list, but I'd go Miyamoto, Yokoi, Wright.  You guys could sort out the other 7 for me.

Spore isn't released, But Sim City... Sim Earth... the Sims... he has a large number of gamse that were pretty revolutionary already out on the market.

He's just not on the list cause this is the guys personal list... based off games he likes.  Not trying to be objective in any way. Though Miyamoto likely was just added and put high because any list where he isn't added and high is going to be laughed at.

But if you're gonna go "Okay, here's 2 Americans to calm you down" why'd they pick the Prince of Persia guy over Will Wright? Hands down Will Wright is the most important developer in America, and possibly the world. If he's not in the top 3 it's a failure. If he's not in the top 10 these people should all be fired.

I've played the original Prince of Persia. It was awesome and that gameplay style inspired a lot of my favorite games, like Out of This World, Flashback, Blackthorne, and later Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssey. But... SIMCITY AND THE SIMS. I don't even remember the PoP guy's name, and I'm not gonna click back to page 1 to find out. Who the hell thinks he's one of the top most important developers? I'm serious. Would a single VGC member list him in their top 10?

It was taken from someone completely unqualified to make a list. Yu Suzuki, Sid Meier and Will Wright are mainstays on lists like these, same as Miyamoto. Obviously he wanted to name only Japanese men, because he had to point out twice how rare it was he was putting two white men on the list.
