Trust me, there were way worst sequels than Chrono Cross and MGS2 i.e. Final Fantasy X-2 though I can understand the disappointment of Deus Ex Invisible War and Devil May Cry 2. Can't comment on Super Mario Bros 2 though

ohhh....good call Riachu. FFX2 was the only direct sequel FF, and oh god was it awful. I would rank it first, as it's the only FF I've never actually had the drive to complete.

Now this is what I don't get. Both Chrono Cross and MGS2 both got very high score in EGM and well, pretty much everywhere and yet they are the top 2 most disappointing sequels according to 1up. What that hell is wrong with them? A Top 5 Disappointing Videogame sequel list is uncreditable IMO if it doesn't include FFX-2.
