wow, not one story heavy or thematic game. It's an abomination.

Nice trolling - which I have had more than enough of from you (not to mention complaints).

Take a two day ban, and *please* try to improve your attitude when you get back. If you don't have anything nice to say - you don't need to say anything.

welcome to vgchartz topremen, fantastic list that actually reminded me of a few titles i'd forgotten about (deadly creatures and samba de amigo). The wii does have a very strong confirmed holiday line up, gonna look even better when nintendo drops the expected "core" bomb soon (ish). Great first post, we're used to "zomg the wii is fur teh kiddiez" and "teh 360 equalz the suxxors" from new posters around here.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

The only reason people were complaining about E3, was due to the "leaks" from IGN (Kid Icarus), and a general "expectation" that they would unveil hardcore games at the show.

As they have now explained, due to the changed nature of E3 (i.e. "hardcore gamers NOT being present"), its now more of a "general product launch" - hence WiiMusic, WiiSpeak & Motion + launches.

Being in the "leaders seat" at the moment, Nintendo have the right to do pretty much whatever they want - and if they want to announce/unveil their "hardcore" titles closer to the release date - then they will do so.

The Wii still has (easily) the largest & most diverse lineup of games this Xmas. Just not the most AAA (hardcore) titles.

Yeah ToS2, Little King's Story, Star Wars: TFU, Mushroom Men, Call of Duty 5, Mega Man 9, Sam and Max, Deadly Creatures, Sonic Unleashed obviously don't have a good storyline, they are just a casual compilation of random minigames aimed at kidz and grannies.

YOu had me....and then you threw in Mushroom Men, COD5, Mega Man 9, and Sonic Unleashed.  I begin to wonder if you know what he's looking for in a story heavy game, or if you just through games out there that you like.

ToS2, LKS absolutely should be what he's looking for, if they both end up having good stories.  But the rest on your list....I'm pretty uncertain about story wise.

Sam & Max I think has an excellent comedic story from what I heard. Deadly Creatures is suppose to have a good story, which is weird since its about insects. OH and the force unleashed has a good story, but that is multiplat. Anyway I don't think anybody is expecting story heavy games on the wii at this point. I think we should wait until more of the rpgs liike Arc Rise Fantasia, and Fragile come out.

Don't get me wrong SC...I don't think that every game on any platform is story heavy, and you're right that mostly it's RPG's. Also those games you mentioned might indeed have good stories, Sam and Max especially. I just think that it's getting a little bit ridiculous if you throw out games like Mega Man 9 , COD5, and Sonic Unleashed.

SkyCrawlers, Soul Eater (August in Japan), Quantum of Solace and Ghostbusters could also be coming this year.

Fullfilled Prophecies

That's pretty much what I've been thinking. I'm guessing the problem fans have is not that the "core" titles aren't coming - we KNOW they are, we KNOW many of the titles in development (Mad World, Conduit, Zelda, Icarus), and we are pretty sure of others (Punch Out).

So it's not that we think the game won't be there. I think it's that many gamers were just... insulted by the way Nintendo seemed to ignore them in the conference. Like Star Wars fans before the prequels, we had all imagined what the conference COULD be, and instead we got... that. Which was nice. Polished. Professional. And it made the case Nintendo wanted to make. But it wasn't what WE wanted.

I got over it pretty quick, but I can understand why so many were disappointed. I don't get those who have just gone rabid, though.

I will definately be getting Tales Of Symphonia, De Blob, Little King's Story, might get Deadly Creatures and Star Wars Force Unleashed.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I added Mushroom men, Mario Super Sluggers, and a pic for tomb raider.

I also realized I forgot Wii Music, and I think its a testament to the game's perceived quality that not one person mentioned it.

MisterD - Reggie just keeps pounding in the crap, whenever asked about Hardcore games he gives the same response.

"Animal Crossing" and "the zelda and mario teams are working"
That attitude really pisses me off. I love Zelda and Mario, but 2 games to look forward to for the entire generation? All I want is an EAD new core IP, and that is looking less and less likely. Miyamoto at least seems to have picked up on how bad the conference went over, he has really been on the defensive about Wii music and seems to be hinting at all these games because he realizes we feel shorted. The way Reggie talks about it, I wouldn't expect any big announcements here for a while. It seems like everything is going to come out of Japan
