Does that list only include current generation consoels? The PS2 put up far better numbers than a lot of those games.

I thing that I'm most surprise about is that the first Gears of War sold more the MGS4. All the other game on list was no suprise.

so the game is undertracked in the americas, I think

 

VGchartz: 1 month americas: 0.74M

NPD: 1 month USA: 1 million with bundles

The game should be in 1.1M in americas by july seventh

Just in NA? About 4 million, I believe. Nov 2006. They had shipped 6 million worldwide September of 06.

I think 360 was around 3-3.5M when Gears of War was released.

The major problem with that list is that it shows first month, but certain titles, like MGS IV, had a lot of time to sell within that month while others were released at the end of the month and only sold those numbers in a few days. Also it doesn't take into consideration whether the title continued to sell or quickly dropped of after a few weeks on sale. All in all it is nice for any title to be in that list, but in the end it only tells part of the story how successful a title really is.
