There was a discussion in the news section at one point. Pretty disappointing results for M$. Though I think you should also consider that there was money involved in several of the exclusivity deals.
That is a very likely explanation.
It is fairly reasonable for MSFT to claim "marketing" expenses on some "moneyhat" deals to game developers.
bumidan - I appreciate the work you put into these threads. How do you sift through all of the different products in EDD to get the xbox numbers? MS seems to have stuffed EDD with all gaming software, hardware, surface computing, zune, all retail sales of Windows operating Systems, all retail sales of Office, xbox live, and windows mobile platforms.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
@dbot
Based on some assumptions and past data. I know it's not perfect, but its the best that I've seen so far.
Of course, any other data, suggestions will be taken into account - to make a better model going forward.
Next time, I will also put some detailed explanations and methodology in my Microsoft posts as what I did in my Sony posts. Please take a look at those when you have a moment.
thanks.
It's amazing how many posts your Sony articles get compared to the Xbox ones. Anyway, please continue to post these.

Yeah, I know. I guess there are much more Sony followers and/or fans than MSFT fans here at vgchartz.
But then again, everyone kinda knows that anyway.
I will post a more detailed MSFT breakdown and possible projections - with an explanation of how I came up with the numbers (just like my Sony posts) soon.
Watch out for it. If not, I will keep bumping it up so it always stay in front of the main vgchartz home page .. haha.
