Double post...  Sorry...

I downloaded it yesterday and to be honest I didn't know what to expect.

After playing it a while now, I've decided it is a must buy for me. 

The environments have a very grand feeling of scale, the gameplay is excellent, the looting is great, and it is much smoother then I expected after reading the scathing previews...  I don't think it will be in the Metacritic 90's because it isn't for everyone (Not real RPG, not real Action), but I could easiliy see mid-80's.

If you've downloaded it, what did you think?

The demo was quite enjoyable. Now what do you mean it wasn't for everyone? Not real RPG, not real action is called an action-RPG which are actually, as far as the US is concerned, are more popular than turn based RPGs

I have not played it myself; but I have seen a friend of mine playing it; and I must say that IT IS HORRIBLE, the animations are soooo crappy. Aside of that, considering all what I have been seen in the trailers; I have to say that this game is a very bad one.

Maybe it is gonna be the HAZE or LAIR of the 360...... or worst.

How are the animations horrible?  They look fluid to me

At first I was disappointed but that was because I couldn't get into it because I was too distracted by other things. But after replaying it, I think it's cool and I might buy it.

The cutscene animations are great because they are mocap'd, but the in-game ones are different. Just try hitting an enemy in the air, and then come back down and hit another enemy on the ground, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Other than that, I think the game is solid with its great amount of customization and stuff. The only problem I find with that kind of customization though is probably the overload of items you'll get in the game in certain areas, meaning you'll never really have the chance to try them all and just pick the best weapon you find from an enemy (and f the rest). It's a minor detail, but for me it's a bit sad to think that they've invested so much time into creating impressive items, but you'll get rid of them in less than a second. :/

Denis Dyack is the man and everything Silicon Knights has touched has been very solid. I think he and his game have been getting a lot of unwarranted flack b/c some sites decided to rip on an early preview build of his game. Then he went on Gaf and said stupid stuff and now everybody's jumping on the hate train.

People should definitely give the game a chance. Even if the demo's bad the game could be really good. IMO most demos don't do the full game justice. Plus, from everything I've read about the game, it's most rewarding in the later stages when you really start leveling up you and your armor and weapons and such.

It looks lame to play by yourself but the coop mode will save it, I already know several of my Live buddies who will get this game so we can take turns playing the coop mode.
