maybe not, by much...
Yes it will. (A little)
Boycotting the following:
1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.
2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.
3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.
4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games. If that were the case they'd own a PS3.
5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.
6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

While it may have the most JRPG's, I'd hardly say it's the JRPG king when they've al been unimitigated failures as far as sales and notoriety are concerned. Not even Lost Odyssey or Eternal Sonata have managed to sell a million copies.

I meant 'king' as in 'has the most'. In this situation, we're talking about Mr. RPG fan who buys FFXIII and wants something else to go with it. He'll probably buy something more recent (unless an older one is cheap).

Having the most doesn't make it the king when the sales(and hence the appeal) aren't there to back it up.
It just means that the 360 has a lot of low-selling games in a specific genre.

You can say that about any genre though since most games in general don't sell well
I agree with Riachu. I think there will be a small jump in all JRPGs for the 360 (mainly LO) now that Final Fantasy XIII has been announced for the 360. I think the announcement will change the perception of the 360 for many JRPG fans who haven't committed to a console yet.
Definitely, the more XBOX sells itself as a RPG machine, the more of the RPGs on it will be sold......that includes Blud Dragon, LO, Eternal Sonata, ect.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

And so far, Microsoft are doing a good job even though the JRPGs have to depend a little more on Western sales than usual since the 360 has a low userbase in Japan
Yeah, that will be interesting to see, how sales will go on now. )
The other question, How many people will buy x360 for FFXIII? =))
This year x360 did good job with RPG games:
Lost Odyssey
Tales of Vesperia
Infinite Undiscovery
Fable 2
Too Human
Fallout 3
Last Remnant
Next year:
Star Ocean:TLH
while PS3:
Disgaea 3
Valkyrie Chronicles
Eternal Sonata
Fallout 3
Next year:
White Knight Chronicles
Cross Edge
Last Remnant
Hmm.... yeah, it has chance to draw rpg folks THIS year, BUT next year it will be all about PS3. =)
Time will show, will M$ strategy work or not.
Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...
