While it may have the most JRPG's, I'd hardly say it's the JRPG king when they've al been unimitigated failures as far as sales and notoriety are concerned. Not even Lost Odyssey or Eternal Sonata have managed to sell a million copies.

I meant 'king' as in 'has the most'. In this situation, we're talking about Mr. RPG fan who buys FFXIII and wants something else to go with it. He'll probably buy something more recent (unless an older one is cheap).

Having the most doesn't make it the king when the sales(and hence the appeal) aren't there to back it up.
It just means that the 360 has a lot of low-selling games in a specific genre.
