Forums - Sales - EA on Boom Blox's sales, sequel possibility

When it is time to talk about 3rd parties sucess on the Wii, there are only 3 titles: Zack and Wiki, Bo More Heroes and Boom Blox. Alternative, niche and low budget games.

I'm going to assume this was a sarcastic post, as it not only doesn't conform with reality, but is a tad contradictory as well. The first bolded statement is patently false, as anyone who's taken even a casual glance at third party's financial reports can tell you. The second bolded sentence is bolded for two simple reasons: those types of games have almost exclusively defined third party support on the Wii until now (which defeats your thesis), and the few games that that isn't true for are commercial successes.

So...yeah. Joke post confirmed.

Should've launched for $30.

Yea, games that aren't front loaded is what Nintendo is actually aiming for - this is a perfect example, they put out a game and expect to see sales be continue grow for a while. The constant suprise.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

People at MTV/GT and video games journalists take themselves too seriously sometimes. You won't see those kind of questions to a movie director or a writer...

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Well they use games like Boom Blox, Zack and Wiki, and No More Heroes because its 3rd party games that are actually good on the Wii. And they expect them to sell well because of it. Unforutnately they just don't get enough decent advertising to sell as well as we would hope. But they sold better than they would have because they are good games and the core ate them up.
