do movie tie-in games even get released in japan?  their sales are non-existent... granted the japanese probably knows how to differentiate crap games better than us...

What kind of movies do they have in Japan anyway? Are there big budget superhero movies, or other stuff that'd work well in a game? I honestly don't have a clue about Japanese live action movies...

I have no idea if there are any games that are made from Japanese movies but I'm certain there are a lot of games that are adapted from animes...

We all know Japan gets anime tie-ins...sheesh.  We're talking about live-action tie-ins here, or the lack thereof.  What was the last good live-action movie to come out of Japan anyway?

Japan doesn't make so many movies, at least half of the movies in the theatres are from abroad, and many of the Japanese movies are pretty low budget. I haven't seen the movie tie in games, but they do port games like pirates of the carribean, even though it is doomed to bomb.

 If this is true then why the hell is that observation game doing so well?!

Yeah...I'd argue that a lot of Japanese people shut down quality games because it's just not their style. FPSs or adventure games for instance.

I don't get it.  Obviously it will just make their observation skills even better so they can see crappy games when they come.  Seriously though, most movie games suck anyway.
