Forums - Microsoft - Halo 4 to Push Multiplayer/Co-op Boundaries Even Further!

Personally I'd like to see Halo have more control options, I know there is alot but I'd like to use the left trigger for tighter aiming like using the gun sight ala COD or Battlefield, I know halo doesn't do that, it's not it's style, but if this next game is a spin-off of some kind they could introduce it as an optional play style, to gain more fans from the COD core. Also they need to add the ability to run, after COD it made me crazy to not be able to run. I'd also like them to do more of whats being done in Unreal with mods, modding would be sweet in Halo.

You can discuss whatever you like.

You said all I needed you to say, Halo is being milked.

I can't remember a time when four projects based off of one game were being done at the same time. (Halo chronicles, Bungie's Halo, Peter Jackson's halo, and third-person Halo.)

Again, Halo is being milked like every big franchise. You argued that the big franchises weren't getting milked, and I proved you wrong.

Halo has sold roughly 25 million copies since 01. That is a lot of development money for Bungie, considering the costs of making each game. Very few series have had that kind of power behind it.

And does Final Fantasy ring a bell? How many projects are in the works right now? We've had the normal series at 12 games in 19 years, 3 or 4 GB games, remakes of 1-6, spinoff series by way of Crystal Chronicles, and the XIII saga which is rumored to have atleast 3-4 projects, which are all in the works. Likewise, Resident Evil is similar - it's been on every major console, sans the Xbox since it debuted (PS, N64, DC, PS2, GC, Wii, PS2, PS3, X360).

So yet again, Halo is having the same thing done to it as any big, good franchise.

And again, your initial post was that FF, DQ, GTA, Pokemon, GT and a few other series never had this kind of milking, and I proved you wrong.

So, you done here stickball?

You said Halo was milked.  That's all I wanted to hear.

Have a nice day friend!

lol you got MRstickball to shut up and leave this thread

halo 4 would sell 13 million to 15 million

*Yawn* Another mediocre shooter.

Which will once more kill all PS3 shooters sales wise.

But there are people, who think that the Halo series is one of the best shooters series ever made. (Including me)

million, u havent then played many fps if u think halo isnt one of the best fps series ever made. on the console their isnt any fps series which adds the new stuff the halo series does on each installment. resistance is looking to be sony's answer to the halo series, its the closest sony will ever come to it. because killzone series will never be, why because the first one sucked so badly. everyone has their opinion on what they view as a good or great fps game or series, but with the sales of each halo game. they alone prove that ppl will buy a game if its done right with each installment of the series. over 5 million halo1 , over 8 million halo2 and over 8 million on halo3.

Isn't R2 already coming out with 8 player coop? Halo 4 will have to do something better if it's to "push the boundaries" with an 8 player coop.

Well, there is usually about 300,000 people playing Halo 3 online at any given point in time.  Advertising can only get people to buy the game, not keep playing it half a year after it comes out.

I never understood how Halo pushed boundaries. When Halo came out with its 2 player co-op Operation: Flashpoint already had 12 player co-op. I doubt things will be any different this time, Halo will once again do nothing to push boundaries (except maybe for console gamers) and it'll be showered with undeserved praise.

Operation: Flashpoint was utter crap. It may have had good features, but if gameplay is shit, it is all for naught.
