the delay's of these big games for sony reminds me of what happend with the n64 back in teh day. and everyone knows what happend to that console and the one after that. so sony is in for a rough ride.

when sony stated they have a ten year plan i didn't think they were talking about their game development cycles. xD

Sony has nothing to do with thy this game is taking so long.

Polyphony is an SCEI studio.

Anyway, I don't see what the big deal is, GT5:P is available now for a bargain price and with plenty of DLC and future additions to come.

Well in some form we can blame Sony for the mighty Cell, but other than that, this getting funnier and funnier... I guess they are aiming for a bigger install base...

I remember them saying it probably wouldn't come out in 09 a long time ago.. Why is this such a surprise??? I knew from that point Q4 09 is the absolute earliest for the game....

I know Polyphony is owned by Sony.

But how can you blame sony for the president of said company not being ready to release a game?

@Soriku - The PS3 outsells the 360 every month and third parties are going to ditch them because GT5 may not come out until 2010?
