Seriously! I <3 Mariko!
WTF???
This game had so much potential. It could of taken GH and RB to the cleaners. WTF Nintendo.

u dont go to klasikal muzic shoews mcuh do u?
They are making a game that appeals to the mainstream as well as to the installed Nintendo fan base.
I was expecting mostly Nintendo theme music culled from generations of first party releases though, not public domain songs bordering on nursery rhymes.
It's pretty clear that gamers who listen to contemporary music, rock, metal, etc. will have to continue to get their music game yayas from Rock Band 2 and GH4 instead.
I've been more than fair in giving mainstream releases fair leeway, going so far as to give a big thumbs up for Wii Sports and Wii Fit, but I am probably going to have to take a pass at Wii Music because this is way too mainstream family friendly fun for my tastes.

WTF + Nintendo = Epic Win
How many times do I have to post that before it starts catching on, lol.
While you and I might not understand Nintendo's reasoning, you can pretty much be assured the game will either:
A. Make epic amounts of money
B. Make modest(Wii-Fit) amounts of money.
C. Somehow be one of the best games we've ever played.
Usually, it's a combination of two of those, more or less.
The exception if the Virtual Boy. It proves the rule.
WTF + Nintendo = Epic Win
Nobody was bowled over with motion controls, touch screens, Pikmin, wind waker, wii fit, casual gaming, wii sports, IR pointing, low price point, or Wii-Play when they were announced, either.
In fact, nothing, lately, and pretty much ever, by Nintendo that has made cynics say "WTF" has failed. It's all been met with astounding success.
In another fact, the game the internet loved the trailer for the most, Twilight Princess, garners the most internet hate of any Zelda game short of Phantom Hourglass, and it was just what the internet wanted.
You see, the internet wants what it has had in the past, just better, or equal itterations of it. Just like the movies. We don't want new IP's like Slingblade, Juno, or Wanted, until we get our hands on them. Then, when we realize they f'n pwn, we go out and buy the crap sequel and make it the best selling movie of all time.
Nintendo likes making "Wanted"
A thing that when you see it, you say, "Ugh, that looks like utter crap. How can something like that ever be good."
Then it is released.
...and you wish you could go back and erase all those old posts you made, so nobody can blackmail you with them, when the game sells a billion copies and/or scores AAA on gamerankings.
Remember, it always rings true:
Nintendo + WTF = Epic win
Do you really think that this will be the one time that it doesn't happen?
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
I reminds me of when homer is throwing the potato chips in the air(or was it peanuts).
Everytime he throws it up there, a little dog(or was it a rat) darts through the air catching it before it hits his mouth.
That's like you thinking everything "WTF + Nintendo" will fail:
Wind Waker will be a bad game: Doh!!
Pikmin looks like it sucks: Doh!
Two screens!? WTF pass: Doh!
Touch screens suck!: Doh!
Casuals don't buy game consoles: Doh!
Wii is a gimmick: Doh!...this time!
Wii-Play won't sell: Doh!

@Zen
I couldn't care less about how much it sells. I am fairly sure it will be a multi million seller. But I just don't care. The game had so much potential.
