Forums - Nintendo - Animal Crossing Comparison

there's a noticeable difference, but this kind of games is my favorite, and the online and WiiSpeak is perfect!!

never played Animal Crossing before, but watching how similar it is to my favorite game: MySims....!!

it seems like this game is being made for me!! : )

Actually, MySims is similar to AC

But yes, they rightfully stayed with the simple, crisp, clean look of the series.  Cleaned jaggies up, added a few polys, and made it brighter overall (not to mention that this version scrolls more like Super Mario Bros than the original Zelda (it doesn't have to load the next screen when you stand by the edge).

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Well all I hope is that it has no lag and can run smoothly with a lot of polygons on screen. Seeing how graphics are right now I think it will be that way for sure

The Wii version's textures are not nearly as pixelated and the Gamecube's texture, and the Wii version's models are free from the polygonalization artifacts that are evident in the Gamecube's models. As I said in another thread, even if you were to use all the processing power of the HD consoles Animal Crossing would still not look that much different because of its art style.

I'm limited on Wii pictures, but I'll try a few more.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

I wish they could of put a little effort into the graphics, i know there is style but it could look much better, much better.

The wii version look better but not much.

I don't care about the graphics, but it's basically like comparing two piles of shit.

Both stink, so why bother smelling either one?

AC have never been about graphics but its art style....

Former something....

Just because it's not the most graphically taxing game doesn't make it bad-looking.  It's got a polished look.  The art style doesn't require a lot of power to look nice.  A game doesn't have to be photorealisitic to look nice.

The main difference seems to be polish and textures. But I like that it keeps to the art style. I don't really know how much you could have upgraded this using power ya know haha if you wanted to keep to that art style.
