The colours are nicer in city folk, it looks slightly better overall, and is more sharp, the pics from the original have a muddy look and jagged look. They look similar, but City Folk does look better if only a little.

I can honestly say that this is a game where graphics really shouldn't matter. 20 years from now the newest Animal Crossing game should look similar. It should have a cartoonish style.

Seriously, they look the same to me.
It looks the same. If you look more closely you see some better effects on the water. But you couldn't say which is which from looking at it for a second.
Not the best sceenshots. You need to find some GC ones with trees and apples and such, because the ones there are hardly showing anything but grass..... but then this is like complaining there are poor graphic effects in DS's Cooking Guide.
AC is about the style and presentation, not effects.

there's a noticeable difference, but this kind of games is my favorite, and the online and WiiSpeak is perfect!!
never played Animal Crossing before, but watching how similar it is to my favorite game: MySims....!!
it seems like this game is being made for me!! : )
