Why are R2 and Gears Of War being compared I don't get it ?

Gears 2 will sell better.

Resistance 2 will be better

gears will be better. its the most anticipated game of this year... so far

If by winning, you mean sales; then GeoW2 will probably sell twice what R2 sells.

I think both the be excellent 90+ games.

In sales it's not even a question, that will be Gears by a wide margin. In quality that remains to be seen.
I don't like shooters but Resistance looked very cool.

I believe it will probably be 2:1 sales of Gears of War 2 over Resistance 2 in the first week or two of release -- perhaps more. I thoroughly enjoyed Gears 1 but I can't say the same thing about RFOM. I wanted to like resistance because R2 is coming, but after having played some of the more moder shooters -- COD4 for example -- Resistance is a fair game at best. Maybe R2 will be a better game, but I don't think Resistance as a franchise has as rabid a fan following as Gears does. That and 360 owners tend to buy the hell out of hyped software. See Halo 3.

R2 will be the better game this time, as Gears was the better last. I don't think there will be much difference with the Metacritic scores this time around too, nor the sales, as the PS3 will have only around 3 mil or so less than the 360 at this time. IMO, life time sales of R2 should shock many, especially if it is a better game to play and/or it scores higher. But, gears will still probably pip it... we will all see.

As of now though, like always on this site, it's just fanboy speculation. :p

Definitely Gears--No matter what, the 360 will have a much higher install base in the market in which these two games sell the best.
