You basically grow these pikmin. And you have to go find parts of ships. You use them to kill enemies, break down walls. There are different types distinguished by colors. Each color has a different ability. The controls were real simple too. I think the wii is suited perfect for pikmin with IR controls.

if you haven't played pikmin yet, you should get the first two for the gamecube definitely. you could probably find them used for like 10 bucks, and it's the type of game you'll play over again several times.

this will be one of the few games to convince me to buy a wii. i always loved Pikmen 1 and 2 and now, i'm very happy pikmen 3 was announced!

^ It was never confirmed. Also this means it should be here relatively soon. Not this year though, since reggie said in a Gametrailers interview that no core games will be coming this year, but in 09. I hope in the first half of the year though.
