Petitions never work for bringing games to consoles.

I am sure Capcom is at least considering it already, but a petition will not push it one way or the other. They know Wii owners want it, they have to figure out if its financially viable to port it to the Wii, as the development would be a bit extensive.

I still doubt it will ever come to the Wii, but if it does it would be many months after the PS3/360 release.

I am a Gauntlet Adventurer.

I strive to improve my living conditions by hoarding gold, food, and sometimes keys and potions. I love adventure, fighting, and particularly winning - especially when there's a prize at stake. The petition is hopeless. Capcom won't take it seriously. Chuck Norris and Darth Vader have signed it about 20 times. But Capcom has not said no yet, so we'll just have to wait and see.

for some reason that bit about chuck norris and darth vader made me pmsl.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

Very doubtful that it, in it's current form, is coming to Wii.

The issue is that it would most likely take Capcom entirely re-doing RE5 to go to Wii at this time...Which could be rather expensive.

Give it time, I am sure that RE5 will come to Wii in some form. Just not the one we have now.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Nah, they shoudln't. RE 5 should be developed so it can shine on the PS3 an 360, making RE 5 Wii compatible would be a huge downgrade for the game. besides, the Wii controls would just be used as a gimmick.

However, I do think Capcom should make a brand new RE game, exclusively for the Wii, and no 100% lineair shooter please!

A gimmick? Have you played Resident Evil 4 on the Wii? Definitely the best version of the game.
