I just wanted to ask a question.  In a lot of Japanese games, the Japanese VA seems to be better than American VA.  It just seems like the Japanese VA almost always sounds good.  However, I want to know if it is possible for Japanese VA to be bad.  If yes, could you list any examples for me.

It's probably because you have no clue what they are saying or don't listen to people speaking Japanese often, so you assume it's good because you don't know what "bad" Japanese voices sound like.

Since you know English and understand every word they say, you can easily determine if they suck or not.

In japan there a like a million animes on TV which all have profesional voice actors.. so it's a big business there.. the voice actors have much more experience.. which leads to better voice acting..

Yes, very much so. There are some roles that get awful casting in terms of the actual voice actor and some voice actors that are just awful.

One of the absolute worst casting decisions was the assassin after Kaname in FMP:TSR. He sounded so bad that most people just assumed it was modified due to a machine or something... but then he sounded the same in person.

Their is good and bad Japanese voice acting. Unless you speak japanese of course it is difficult to tell the two apart.

However if you want examples of games with bad voice acting western games ported to Japan will often have average or bad Japanese voice acting just as japanese ported to the west often have bad english voice acting.

Why wouldn't it be possible for Japanese voice actors to be bad? A lot of this all American VA in Japanese games are bad nonsense is just in peoples head that think anything that is Japanese is cool.

I'm not saying there are bad dubs because there are, but a lot of the people that say give me subtitles or give me death only say that because they think it's cooler and are pretty much sheep.

You guys don't watch enough anime but I have example to give you for bad voice acting. Goku VA in japaneese is worse than the american va the reason being it's done by a woman who plays voice not hiding the fact it is coming from a woman.The other VA in the series is superior to the american counterpart though. Strange

The reason you think that Japanese VA is better than American VA is because you don't understand the Japanese language, or the vocal inflections thereof. I'm sure that a native Japanese speaker could tell you that there's at least as much bad Japanese VA as American.
