Maybe the'll take it online, and Microsoft can track it. You registered it, I'm sure. Give it a shot.

Hopefully Microsoft'll let you re-download all your Xbox Live titles onto your new console if you've got a police letter saying it was stolen.

so my wife cam today and surprised me for lunch, she also wanted to drop off the money for a new system (which i will be grabbing on the way home)

still bummed i no longer have my other box but this is better b/c the one i had was getting close to a couple of years and this new model should have (fingers crossed, knock on wood) a better life span

also the only thing i ever downloaded was a few halo maps, which are probably free now, and my old acct on there the mesoteto, i am not worried they would have to use one of their own to get it back up b/c it should have expired ...yesterday i think and the card i used for it has been canceled for like two months....so i will get a fresh start here pretty soon--i doubt they will its a shame it was a pretty good acct for me, but oh well

You can also attach your old gamer tag to the new console. (and don't forget to change the password just in case)

I was just about to say that you should change your XBL pwd, I think that would keep the old system from being able to logon with your ID.
