I, um...man this is hard to say. I hate to break it to you, but...Nintendo's always only cared about money. Since day one. If someone offered them a nickel to slit your throat, they'd think about it.

That said, what they should did have quite a bit to offer to most gamers. 1:1 swordfighting? Jetski-ing? GTA? Call of Duty? That stuff seems pretty "hardcore" to me (although, of course, those goalposts are always moving, so perhaps I'm a day late again?). Even then, you're kidding yourself if you don't think Nintendo has more in store.

I'll grant you Nintendo's PR machine needs some serious fine-tuning (who are they taking lessons from, Sony?), but kindly don't pretend that Nintendo's "suddenly turned their back on gamers" or whatnot. It just makes you look silly.

sorry...but GTAIV is a Hardcore game and Animela Crossing is a Core game..

please understand what a Core gamer/game is before starting a discussion ^_^'

meh...anyway, I love them..they wanna make new IPs and they don't want to announce games 2 years ahead of time...so I don't see the problem..as I said before

Core gamers and non/casual gamers don't complain about Nintendo's press conference..it's only the Hardcore/non-Nintendo-gamers who do

PS3 fans: GTA is hardcore
Xbox 360 fans: GTA is hardcore

Nintendo hardcore fans: GTA on DS -- who cares. I want hardcore.

Get real!People, this is supposed to be fun!
The games you want will come out or they won't.
It just takes time sometimes.

And I imagine that the next Zelda game will make it to market before FF XIII (at least in NA and EU/PAL).

Anything with killing people is hardcore :P actually I think GTA is the most casual game ever. really fore me this GTA is just jump in and drive over some people and get chased by the cops but nothing I would like too complete ore buy  and AC is more hardcore because it is not fore everybody (though anybody can play it). Personally I don’t get the game…
