Forums - Sony Discussion - Did anyone else thinks Siren looked amazing?

I think it looks awesome and sufficiently creepy. The Eurogamer review was also encouraging, so I'm definitely going to give it a try.

They gave it a 9/10, which is very high for Eurogamer. They gave Bioshock and MGS4 8/10. They must have really liked it.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

The demo was okay. The game is a creep fest not for the feeble minded!

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Well the trailer certainly looks great. I believe the game is made by the creator of the original Silent Hill, so it should be excellent. No word from IGN on when the game is coming to PAL though. Not more than two weeks hopefully.

It's going to be a definite buy for me.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

The demo was pretty good. The atmosphere/environment was great, definitely puts you in the mood to get scared. Very dark and you only have a flashlight, just like SH. The controls and camera angles are better than Silent Hill's. I've heard some good things about the PS2 Siren. I love horror games, and I'll probably be buying it today.

Yes, the demo was great.. It comes out today in US & UK.

Siren releases today. Who's buying it? The demo wasn't great in my opinion, but I may give the first 4 "episodes" a chance. Seems odd to me that Sony would release all of the episodes at the same time.

i am going to get siren, i am going to get siren
