I'll definately get this game, it's one of the few HD games that interest me (now if only we could get a bioware game...) and it'll suit waggle control very well (similar to Godfather) but I'm a little disappointed it's not a new game altogether.

Dead Rising coming to the Wii makes me happy. It is one of the few 360 exclusives that interests me.
I got mixed feelings. It is a good game. It is a 2 year old port. For 30 or less it is a must buy. At 50 it will depend on how much they added in the game.

Nice... I wanna see more info.

"According to the latest issue of Famitsu, the game is set to be a port of the original Xbox 360 version, and thanks to cvxfreak of NeoGAF, below are some interview snippets:
* RE4 Wii sold well so Capcom is porting DR
* As much as possible Capcom will match the 360 look.
* Is taking into mind casual gamers' needs
* Playable w/ Wiimote and nunchuck. There are waggle atacks similar to RE4 Wii.
Some other information from the interview has now been revealed as well, with one of the main questions being as follows:
Famitsu: Being surrounded by tons of zombies was one of a main appeals in the original. Do you feel you'll have to lower the count in the Wii version?
Nakai-san: "In the 360 version, you know there are a lot of zombies because the area is filled with them on into the background. This time we're working on a system in which the number of zombies nearby the player will instill a sense of "they'll be there" as they head through."
Apparently it seems that Capcom is definitely going to be skewing the title far more towards the casual crowd, with the difficulty levels being dropped to allow for greater acceptance. Dead Rising sold nearly 150,000 units on the Xbox 360 in Japan and has topped the 1.5 million mark worldwide so far, meaning it definitely has great potential on Wii if Capcom markets the game sufficiently. Other details lifted from Famitsu so far include how there will be new stages, bosses and items, yet there is some bad news in that the picture taking aspect of the game has now been removed. "

I predict good times ahead. Although I have to ask, didn't Svennson explicitly say there wouldn't be a Wii port of the game just a few weeks ago? If he's wrong there, does that mean he's wrong about a Zak and Wiki sequel...?
In any case, I'm happy to see my arch-nemesis eat crow.
I never played more than a few minutes of Dead Rising, and I loved those few minutes.
I will buy this at $50 even...as long as it's a good port.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
Another detail: "waggle swings swords, aims guns, and get Frank out of zombie attacks." Sounds RE4-ish.
Hope the core game is left intact. They better not "casualize" it.
Either way it proves that HD console games can be ported to Wii. As I have said all along. Now, all that is unknown at what quality level.
And the camera is behind Frank's back, a la RE4. It sounds like they're using that engine. Can we just call this one Resident Evil 4.5 now?
Scans make it look pretty close to the 360 version. Not quite as good, of course, but not that far off either.
