Wow I read the title and though Guitar Hero was getting more realistic because now you can even get STDs while playing GHIV. But than I realized it should be GH IV which definitely looks less threatening and more family friendly.

Personally, I figured GHIV was gonna own Rock Band 2 from the start. Seems like RB2 is trying to beef up its music library to make up for the worse and missing gameplay elements from Guitar Hero. This, I feel, is due to the fact that RB was rushed out because it wanted to launch at a similar time to Guitar Hero in order to compete with the first string of adopters.
If GHIV didn't exist, Rock Band 2 wouldn't release till next christmas and it would be a better game. Anyone disagree with that theory? I doubt it.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
SO does this mean I can use the RB2 drums with GH4!?

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Zen: RB2 adds a lot, and anyone that owns RB1 will be getting RB2. GH IV will have to deal with the added cost this time.
After seeing the videos of GHIV, it's no contest as far as I'm concerned. GHIV has crossed over from game to real music creation. I'm just blown away by all the new features.
That's cool and all, but I can't help feeling like GHIV has some nice features that not many people will actually use. How many people have electronic drum sets to take advantage of this? How many people can write music well enough to make something that doesn't suck in the music creator? Their standard drum kit is nicer, but RB2's premium drum set looks even better (a lot more expensive though, and wouldn't be as nice as an actual drum kit). I suppose GHIV is the way to go if you're an actual musician. Personally I'd rather stick with RB for its larger music library.
But maybe I'm just marginalizing since I have RB and don't feel like paying for another set of instruments.

Which version do you have? The 360 RB instruments work with GHIV for sure.

If you haven't checked out the new videos for the music editor I think you might be surprised how easy it is to create stuff even for a non-musician/complete novice. There are also some tutorials for the music editor as well so even the clueless will have somewhere to start it sounds like.
Give it a fair shake, if its not your bag then so be it.
This is really cool, I hope people aren't shy about sharing their creations... I don't have the patience to make songs my self.
Oh and jokes:
GHIV it will take your life. Every one needs to now the dangers of GHIV.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Wow, I haven't seen that. That's really good news. I have the PS3 version though. Hopefully they'll also be compatible. I don't really see any reason why they wouldn't be. I'd definitely pick it up if they are. That was the main reason I wasn't really anticipating GHIV. :D
