Really want to watch some ATHF episodes *depressed* Hey what you guys think about 9.99$ for some movies that are purchase only ( like the cable guy ) It'll be great to keep it on the download list permanently, but thats the only advantage |
What's ATHF?
Sweet PSN has got some anime and some pretty decent one at that. Actionand comedy animes are what I like and they have it.

+1. If all you have do on live come this fall is have a netflix account and pay 20 bucks a month and get unlimited HD downloads, that would literally own Sony's video service.

Netflix instant view is SD only. I have had the service for over a year now. Not to mention the selection is horrible. It is run on a 5 star scale and it is rare to find films rated above 3 stars from the viewers as they comment on each movie. The horror section for example is 90% B rated horror flicks with a rare gem tossed in.
I have it only due to the fact that it costs nothing extra to recieve Bluray movies in the mail. :)

Ok then maybe it's not as good, but maybe Sony could come up with some service like that for their Video Store? $20 for unlimited SD downloadables and $30-40 for unlimited HD downloadables? I'd definitely go for that..

Well you can get Netflix for $9.99 a month (not including manditory LIVE Gold account), so yeah $20 doesn't seem bad, but honestly if you are already paying for a service, I wouldn't want to pay again for it.
Even at $40 for unlimited downloading of HD content, what is the point? Netflix gets you the movies you want the next day (if you own a PS3/Bluray player) and only costs you $9.99 a month. No additional cost applied to BD movies.

So these HD movies are likely 720p, right? They are only 6-7 gigs.
Also, $2 for episodes of TV shows seems ridiculous. Is that normal? It would cost you $44 for Buffy Season 2, for instance.
Also, does Live allow the file transfer of purchases?

Do you mean as in watching as you download? If that is what you are asking, the answer is yes.
