PSN is being used for big games too, unlike VC and Live. Warhawk and Socom: Confrontation are big multiplayer games and there are others in the works...

YES at March 2008 my PS3 will have more games.
Currently have 10 BR. 5 PSN.
Oh, a little off-topic, but for those who don't have Steam, all the Sam and Max episodes are now available for PC on Steam, for like 8 bucks each I think.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
that' must have cost some JoeyKanga, i have a Wii and 5 games and 4 VC titles, but i can't really afford any more just yet. depending on your number of Wii games, your gaming budget must be nearly 5 times mine.
i do wish nintendo would start (or start letting other developers) making some original VC titles. oh and NoE needs to release SPM, getting on my nerves even though i may not buy it.
200 games (well 140) by then does seem quite a lot, it is about one every two days, seeing as the Japan market has barely been getting 2 or 3 a month.

Well, they have 52 weeks to deliver 150 games, so about 3 a week. There's at least one next week, it's a start.
And yes, the PS3 network has been a bastion of games you can't download anywhere else! Rampart! Lemmings! That free flash game they charge you 8 dollars for!
I'm actually very angry they took an amazing game like Rampart, managed to inflate it's size 120 times, and make it worse. Much worse than any other version. When the 15 year old SNES version has better controls, and more features and they only thing you can claim on it is "Yours plays online".... I bought the damn game for 15 dollars in 1992. Now it costs 5 for a worse *Rambles on for the next 20 minutes*

| StarcraftManiac said: Hmmm... If u count in PSN then u can count VC for Wii... And about 8 months in the Wii's live u have 100 VC titles... And with another 8 months to go that would put the counter for VC on 200. Then adding the list of 'normal' games that would make a grand total of about 400-450 games at March 2008 for Wii... So yeah... 380 for PS3 is realistic. And how many games does X360 have on Live and boxed?! |
in essence you really cant. How many original games are on VC? none. How many original games are on the PSN? 13. How many re-released games are there? VC = All PSN = 12 games?
Yes there are re-released games between the two, but there are original games available. Live is the only thing that can compare but small arcade games cant compare to full games like Tekken 5: DR and Gripshift.

I agree I'll believe this when I see it. This is almost an impossible feat for the PS3.

Aside from your Rampart complaint. There have been some great stuff released on PSN already: Tekken: DR, MK II (With online), Calling All Cars, Lemmings (yes I like Lemmings) among others.
I am disappointed somewhat because I thought the pace would be picking up quicker than this by now. It's actually been slowing down lately and also pissed about the Japanese PS store having like 3 times the games the US one has :(

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
Not saying Lemmings is a bad game by any stretch of the imagination. Just curious about people saying PSN is only fresh new Material when it's been just as guilty as every other console.
I am still very upset about Rampart, but I did put about 200 hours into the older versions. People who never played it may not realize that they raped the game.

Good news overall, but I tend think the PSN games are safer bets to become finalized projects than all of the two hundred games currently for BR development.
