Okay, 1) Where? 2) That's pretty classless if they are. At least let the other two have their hour and a half, Nintendo. THEN go for the kill.

Cool, thanks. I'm off!
I've only seen 1 random trailer explained as being launched during the Sony meet, it's probably just a third party thing though, same way the media was released after the fact for Microsoft and I'm figuring the same for Sony.

Yeah, thats pretty low. Glad games are coming though! Why wern't they at the event? Nintendo wasted 25 minutes with that 15 minute slide show at the begining and that stupid story about the lady hurting her wrist.

That's the exact phrase that popped into my head when I saw the OP.
That said, I do believe strongly that Nintendo has something up their sleeve for the rest of the show. I mean, how could they not? We ALREADY KNOW about lots of big games that they and third parties are coming out with for Wii (see noname's thread). Also, their conference was about half an hour shorter than the other two. Why could that be?
| HappySqurriel said: Since 2005 Nintendo has been spending more and more time at the E3 Key-Note (press conference) focusing on their "Casual" games ... People didn't really understand why they were showing Nintendogs, Brain Training and Electroplanktin at the time. People don't seem to be aware that Nintendo has continued to release the same kinds of games they used to, at a slightly faster rate than they used to, and maintain similar quality levels as they used to even though they have been focusing a lot of attention towards the "Casual" market. Realistically, within the next 6 weeks (probably within the next 6 days) Nintendo is going to announce a couple of huge "Core" games and people will suddenly forget that they weren't the focus of the E3 press event ... In 2009 when Nintendo focuses on "Casual" gamers at their E3 press event the outrage will begin again. |
I know you are right, but even so I feel stupid for falling for the hype. Seeing all those flashy "Live Conference" links and 500 + posts threads I really expected something shocking. Nintendo is focusing their media and press on the Wii games for the expanded audience andthat is nothing new. It is pretty sad that everyone forgot about Fire Emblem DS, Captain Rainbow, Kid Icarus, Zelda, Starfox, Kirby just because the conference focused on the new audience. The "hardcore" crowd is really a spoiled one.

If Shigeru is still on the premise then there is something huge coming, that much I can tell you - if Iwata is there then that means 100% chance of something huge coming down the road.

Is he still there?
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
Uh, third parties are showing new stuff...not Nintendo really.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Apart from Kirby for the DS.
