Now that they've got the casual stuff for this year out of the way, and what core people want most are a) New core game announcements and b) Hands-on with titles we know exist (Disaster: Day of Crisis, Kid Icarus, Project H.A.M.M.E.R.). If Nintendo announced a Spaceworld event, the core audience (who are still significant and represent a good business opportunity on Wii) would be reassured that games would be shown, and Nintendo's public opinion could be restored tomorrow.
They wouldn't even have to do anything new - those three games, which are already in development, would completely satisfy the demographic. Oh, and maybe Metroid Dread as a show-stopping surprise. If they can.
