Forums - Gaming - Which PS3 exclusive you think will come next to 360 ?

People are actually mad at Sony for NOT paying off 3rd parties? Its better for gamers if they use their money to actually create something instead of taking the M$ route.

I wish M$ would do the same. Having the consoles compete on their merits (power, install base, etc.) is much better for us consumers than money being thrown around to make things exclusive.

it's vXIII.. SE and MS have it going now so why stop with FF XIII only? I could only doubt them now since they just denied vXIII going to the 360.

Frankly this sort of logic perturbs me. Microsofts strategy in the long term will engender higher quality and creativity in game design, because it is a more democratic approach. Microsoft unlike Sony and Nintendo is not abusing its position. Nintendo offers such compelling first party fair that it often cripples third party software sales, and Sony acquires more studios every year. Microsoft is more of a benefactor for third party developers.

This kind of philosophy will make for better competition, and greater creativity within the field of gaming. Thanks to Microsofts bankrolling third party games those hard working companies get a fair shake in the market place. Hell this even allows for dark horse developers to spring up. Which cannot really happen in the current climate where game development costs can reach upwards of fifty million dollars.

Imagine your a small third party developer, and you have a really great idea for a game. Your not a multi billion dollar conglomerate however so you do not have the kind of money to get it off the ground. In the console manufacture should be self centered universe this game has no chance of inception. However if the manufacturer purchases exclusive titles if your idea is good enough you have a chance to bring it into reality. Without manufacturer support third parties are limited in the scope of their vision, and have little hope of greater commercial success.

I would argue that Sony needs to embrace Microsofts philosophy. Sony needs to sell off a large number of their studios or spin them off, and use the capitol netted from doing so to sponsor third party projects. Which will probably be far more effective in the short term, and will generate a more amicable environment for third party developers. Otherwise as this generation unfolds third party developers are going to get even more entwined with Microsoft.

After all that would be in their best interest. Microsoft is helping them to defer costs and risk. Microsoft has no real conflict of interest in regards to software. Finally with all the favors Microsoft is doing for third party developers it is going to become more difficult for them to forget what Microsoft did for them when it came to that game or that other game. Sony needs to start mending fences with third party developers. The best way to do that is by not trying to compete against them, and by giving them financial incentives.

Tekken 6. Namco will need to, financially.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

Tekken on the 360 will make me really give up on the PS3

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

MGS4, but by then, it will be dead anyway.

After seeing Sony's first party offerings, it's clear that Sony is taking a Nintendo approach and making sure that they can sustain even without other developer's help

I second this. Almost everything hyped by sony these days is 1st party. Tekken 6 is the last one left because ff13 versus is definitely multi. I actually would rather have sony use their money to develop new IPs than pay 3rd parties because most of those games come to ps3 anyway. Look at bioshock after all the M$ hype and exclusive written on the box.

I third this. The only problem is, that Sony can't seem to get their games out in a timely fashion. They should just fire everyone and buy Insomniac and let them handle all of Sony's games. Because they're about to knock out 4 games (R&C: ToD, Quest for Booty, Resistance 1/2) in the 2 years the PS3 will have been released. More of what Insomniac is doing, less of what Sony is doing please.

Projects are delayed to make them great -- 1st party developers are long past getting their project green-lighted by the time the project is announced.  Insomniac was practically finished with every title you mentioned before the rest of us even knew about them, because they are treated as though they are 1st party.  I don't think claiming that Sony is "slow" in some way is um... justified.

sony announced killzone 2 before 3 years and the game still not comming until now ? Insomniac now is the best 1st party developer for sony because there is no single game for them is delayed.

With Namco's relationship with Microsoft (Tales of Vesperia, Beautiful Katamari, Ace Combat 6, Culdcept Saga, Eternal Sonata, Warhammer: Battle March), Tekken 6 seems to be not only likely but almost a certainty at this point. I do expect it to spend a few good months on PS3 first though, the same way Virtua Fighter 5 did. I'm almost positive 360 will see Tekken 6 as it'll have the similiar buying audience from Soul Calibur IV. 80% chance.

Next up is Disgaea 3. Atlus already has been publishing small series onto the 360 and NIS will want in on the action. This game isn't going to sell much on PS3, but may have a decent chance for a few more sales on 360 since there's a built in RPG fanbase, just not a large one. 50/50 shot I say.

Valkyria Chronicles is very likely. SEGA has not been very exclusive friendly this generation, and again, PS3 is a complete unknown with selling RPGs. SEGA will recoup more by making this multiplatform and I've got a feeling they will. I also hope they will because I won't feel so forced into having to get a PS3. 60% chance I think.

Metal Gear Solid 4 I doubt is happening. It's doing fine sales wise. It'll stay put. 30% chance of happening if that.

Heavy Rain is going to happen unless Sony already paid for this game. There's just no logical reason for them to not include the 360. 90% chance of happening and even then I think it'll bomb.

BlazBlue will happen for sure. It's niche to begin with and PS3 can't give it the sales it'll need. If you add in the 360, it may turn a small profit. I'm very excited for this, so there's hopefuly thinking in this also. 60% chance since Guilty Gear Isuka never made it to Xbox and because Guilty Gear 2 Overture isn't coming to PS3.

I think that's about it.
