hmm SONY will probably not do much damage control. They will have a good show but of course be overshadowed by M$...

I bet SONY is hoping Nintendo do somthing to overshadow M$'s announcement ( like maybe Wii-Lines: Relive Buying your Wii!)

OT, it's hard to say actually, the meat of Microsoft's presentation was the FFXIII announcement, without that it would have been completely forgotten, no real meaty titles announced, and.... avatars...

Sony will probably have to deal with the hit, but they have so much more to offer than one new title that people might care about. Sony's been cramming the pipeline with first party games and they've still got quite a few to go into detail about. As I mentioned in another thread, they still have big news on games like Twisted metal, Gran Turismo, Naughty Dog's next project, Team ICO's next project, then the Santa Monica Team working on God of War 3 :P I mean just a few off the top of my head.

If FFXIII had gone exclusive, it would have been severe damage control, but a multi-plat announcement? Eh... not so much. Esp considering Microsoft made no mention of FFXIII Versus. If Sony's still got lockdown on that, then I honestly don't see the point of picking up FFXIII on the 360 :/ Go big or go home is what I'm saying.

I think Sony has an Exclusive RPG up their sleeves and will unleash it at E3. It'll make FF13 look minor in comparison and have people so stunned they'll wait to sell their PS3's till it comes out.... Then it's all about game play.



Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

Here is something that Sony might have up their sleeve. What if Sony gets exclusive rights to an exclusive 360 game. For example Sony says that Mass Effect 2 will be a PS3 exclusive.

That would be a blow to the 360. I know Halo won't go over to the PS3 but something else might.

Bioshock was one of the only games holding me to a 360 :D That announcement was plenty for me :P, perhaps they should have just waited till E3 to announce...

versus ???damn u got me thinking ,,,hope u r right ...ms could've killed sony if the game went exclusive to 360anyway if things will be the way they are ..then ps3 will bleed to death ,, Ms likes slow killing :(

 doesnt need to beat 360 in USA to win WW and as of 2008 ps3 has sold 1.5 million more then 360... M$ needs these games to keep selling ... sony doesnt when it comes to HD titles.

Now everyone is forgetting NINTENDO.. we dont no anything about it!!!!. how does this system sell like crazy if no one talks about it?
