I'm still on the fence. It depends on if there are any major differences between the two versions. If not I'll probably buy the X360 version for no other reason then to support SE's decision to go multiplatform.

Final Fantasy XIII wasn't made for Playstation 3. It was made using Crystal Tools. A program on PC. It hasn't been made for PS3 or X360 yet. Square hasn't made a game for Playstation 3 yet, and they have not made FFXIII for PS3 yet at all.

So because of this, the X360 version isn't a port from the PS3. Both are getting ported from the PC to their respective systems. So Square has yet to face the difficulty of making Final Fantasy work on the Playstation 3. And The Last Remnant has already been delayed for the PS3 alone. Could even be possible to see the X360 version get pushed forward due to the PS3 version of XIII lagging behind

But at any rate, lets stay on topic.

 

Actually, they are developing it for the PS3 in Japan, and once that is done, they will port it to the 360 (I am not sure whether it is from PS3 or PC) while they do the localisation for the rest of the world, so Square will have made it on PS3 before they start work on the 360

On the topic of the Last Remnant, that is on the Unreal Engine, so the development issues with that is a completely different issue

Munkeh - I understand that they will port from PC>PS3 first for Japan. However, it hasn't been ported to either, yet. And I think that's the issue. If something happens that makes the PS3 port in Japan difficult, and costly.......Watch out.

Count me among the people probably would not have played this game otherwise.  1 game just would not have been enough to make me get a PS3.  Thankfully now I won't have to.

So, since PS3 version is coming before x360 version, it`s more like, they already developing something on PS3 and NOTHING on x360. =)
Anyway, time will show, But it`s just stupid to consider now which version of game to buy, when you don`t know how versions will differe, unless you just don`t care about the game. =))

In the same vein, don't write off the 360 version as a knee-jerk reaction to its existence.  You've got to call it both ways.

I'm getting it for 360. Depending on if there will be any good preorder bonuses, I'll get the PS3 version too. If not, I'll wait for Versus to come out, then buy it.

What will people do if FF13 Vs is a ps3 version? Will people buy ff13 for ps3 in order to have Vs. If I had both consoles, mine would be ff13 for ps3 as Vs looks to be ps3 exclusive.(God Plz) Will 360 owners who plan to buy ff13 and don't have a ps3 buy a ps3 for Vs???
