har har.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
1) Bugs.
2) Loading times. Worse, loading times that could obviously be easily avoided with 5 minutes of programming.
3) Unavoidable deaths/damage to player. My score should depend on skill, not luck.
4) Randomly generated dungeons or worse, random treasure chests (I'm looking at you, FF Dawn of Souls). The last thing I want to do is go through the same dungeon 5 times just to fight all the bosses and still not get all of the treasure.
5) Anything that wastes development resources and doesn't add to the game. Example: FMV.
6) Terrible voice acting. Voice acting can make or break a game.
7) Poor control layout with no option to change it (I'm looking at you, Virtual Console).
8) Unclear goals, or unclear functional objects. As in, oh, how was I supposed to know if you step on the thing, this seemingly unrelated thing happens?
1)Unable to change control configuration
2)Like Entroper, bugs. I mean once when me and my brother were doin CO-OP on R:FOM, the tank that was supposed to land in front of us, bounced up (!!) and landed on the top of the building. We then got killed by a widowmaker, becuase we should have been in the tank, not in the open! It never happened again, but it's still annoying. Then again, PSN should mean they can release patches.
3)Saving only at certain points
4)Health, sometimes ammo pick-ups. It's not that I don't like them, they should be in all games, but I also tthink your health should slowly recharge aswell, as that makes the game easier if you get down to really low health.
5)Timing jumps etc. I don't mind timing jumps to a certain extent, but sometime they are just too hard (Prince of Persia)
6)Silly copyright. Meaning on some games, for instance, the cars may not be named by their actual names, and on other games, the football teams won't be names by thier proper names. Damn EA, buying all the premiership copyrights!
7)Sequels that don't present a new storyline, or not much extra. Not so bad on things like driving games, but Mario...
One person's experience or opinion never shows the general consensus
PSN ID: Tispower
MSN: tispower1@hotmail.co.uk
1) jumping puzzles on FPSs
2) stupid minigames that have no purpose, like the mouth to mouth resuscitation on FF7
3) No pause button or pause that still makes the clock run (that is why I will never get 10 star rank on Silent Hill)
4) enemies that take a hundred hits but kill you with one (Gradius)
5) Random battles that take more than 10 minutes on a RPG, Legend of Legaia (I hate that game).

Yeah! Oh wait did I name this thread: "When will the learn???" (the = they) Oh man....
If you could save a survival horror game at any moment you wanted, there would be much less suspense. Game saves depend on game type. For most games, I agree with your point...
Speaking of copyrights how about the logo screens at the beginning that you are usually unable to bypass. An I took Black back to the rental place without even getting to gameplay because they expected me to watch too much FMV. lol

I don't know if your talking about mine or not, my point was just a temp save. Most people lets say if your about to eat dinner, you stop playing and come back to play. Instead of leaving it on pause for half and hour or so, you can temp save and come back. I guess your saying if you do that you lose some of the tension you built up? Maybe so, but get this, if you don't like it, you don't have to use it. Temp saving is an option, you can insist on only saving at checkpoint and repeating that chapter or mission if you don't have enough time at that moment to finish it, but I'd opt for loss of tension over loss of progress. I just know quite often I'll have maybe 15-30 minutes to play a game and since I have no way of saving it I just won't bother. This is exactly why I stoped playing fable. I loved Fable, but they wouldn't let me save my progress during a mission. And some missions took more then a half hour. You know how many times I had to turn it off during a mission? I even left my system on a whole day. It was really annoying.

I hear you on that. I hate that. And some games seem to have 5 developers and publishers so you'll have to sit through a ton of names. For the ones that don't let you skip do they even get it? Godfather on the Wii too, made you sit through a slow opening of the logo for the game coming out why you listened to the godfather speak, I'm like hello developers you do realize I'll turn this game about 40-50 times so thanks for forcing me to sit through that that many times.
