Forums - Website Topics - Request to the mods to lighten up for the next few days

Dear Mods,

With FF XIII announced, this site crashed..literally. Interest is piqued. There's more members on now than maybe ever before. Trolling, badmouthing, multiple topics and more are bound to happen. If Nintendo or Sony have their own world splitting announcements, it's going to happen again (hopefully not the crashes though). To save yourselves the trouble of not joining in and basically just close threads and warn and ban memebers, I'm suggesting that you all give us all a little more leniency than usual to cry (for Sony fans so far), or gloat (for Microsoft fans so far). There's a good chance this'll all be repeated tomorrow. Just give us till the end of Tuesday or Wednesday to be a little more moronic than usual. I don't mean let people be assholes to eachother completely and go on rampages, just lighten your own load by lighten the grip on our collars.

Thank you,
Onyxmeth

I don't know about that...

Though I've already got my hands full with closing like a dozen duplicate FFXIII threads.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Where do I sign?

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I think they should crack down harder than ever.

I mean, I don't want to see 14 threads on the front page about FFXIII. I want to see other threads and news.

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

Itsudatte itsudatte itsudatte

Sugu yoko de waratteita

Nakushitemo torimodosu kimi wo

I will never leave you

No, I think we should be as strict as ever. Multiple topics need to be closed, gloating needs to be banned. I propose a zero-tolerance rule across the forums for the next week.

I don't think they should get softer... Come on arguing about consoles? And most of us are grown up... Just think twice before posting and you won't get in trouble! It's easy.

You think about it Ben. It's not me that can't join in the festivities, it's you and the boys in blue. If you want to spend E3 closing topics, warning people and banning idiots all day you be my guest. May I suggest bringing in another 20 mods on per diem to lighten the load then? I heard Rock On's available.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm promoting this sort of behavior, but this news crashed the gaming internet, and I'm not sure the 10 of you can really contain it without breaking a a very large, stinky sweat. Think of this like Spring Break or Mardi Gras. Look at what happens when the cops crack down compared to when the cops lighten up. Same story, less booze and boobs.

I don't think there's a need for the Mods to "lighten up". I haven't seen anybody insulting each other so far after the big announcement.

Some loyal MS fans are shouting "haha, I knew it all the way! PS3 is deaaaad!!" (which is childish) and some loyal Sony fans are disappointed (which is absolutely understandable).

Well hell, I'm not gonna stress myself out, but I'll keep things going smoothly here.

You can never have enough fanboy meltdowns, I always say...and the ban hammers to go with them.
