8.5 / 10...

Nice expected announcements...

Dashboard redesign, Avatars, FF and Netflix were the highlights...

8/10 apart from XIII, SE stuff, Fable 2 and Banjo Kazooie I was disappointed, as I dont really care about the live stuff or the video downloads or all the stupid music games

I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10. I loved all the new features. The new dashboard looks sweet, being able to install games to the hard drive, having netflix built right into the console.. Everything sounds awesome (also, major props for the fallout 3 demo). And the FXIII announcement was a monster one - I can't think of anything for Sony to say that will top what Microsoft just dropped. The only parts I didn't like were the parts where they talked about the upcoming music games.

I think the only other contestant in the other conferences here is Nintendo, and that's only because no one knows what they're going to do this or next year. I have a feeling they could drop some big bombshells but it's really going to be hard to beat microsoft.

I give it...

whine / 10.

Stupid question, but were did you all see it? I am not able to find it on google search

i'd give a B+

overall, it was a bit boring, i expected Gears of War 2 and RE5 to be way better... (even if i'm more casual than hardcore)
Fable 2 was great!!

i don't think the FF13 surprise was sooo great (maybe for non-Ps3 owners it was), but this will just slow down the rate at which Ps3 is reaching the Xbox360 somehow, but it cannot be avoided...... - what can be will be!!

the Mii thing was nothing new but still good, the movie thing was just good, but it's not something "wow, i want an Xbox360 right now"......
at least, it was not taken from Nintendo....

saying that Xbox360 will sell more than Ps3 was just horrible (just like pointing out "we have no chance against the Wii" + Ps3 is going to beat Xbox360)

In terms of appealing to me personally I'd say it was bloody awful - 2/10.

Rating it objectively I'd have given it 5/10 til the end which seems to have got everyone in a tizzy - 8/10.

I was watching the show with my brother and the best part was when they showed the fall update for the 360, i fell off my chair laughing so hard, it was the worst thing i have ever seen in my life, the blade style they have now is fine, but they dropped the ball and made it look like crap, my brother was in shock, it looked like a joke it was so bad.

The fallout 3 video was really bad, the Fable2 video had a crazy amount of pop in and looked like the exact same game that was on the xbox, better looking but nothing had changed. Portal2 exclusive to the 360 was massive, the banjo2 game looked very good, can't wait to see more. Gears2 video looked weak, it was the exact same as the first, the visuals looked the exact same too, not even close to what other shooters are bringing to the table.

The release of the two SE JRPGs this year was amazing, star ocean in March was pretty good too. But my jaw hit the floor when i saw the SE guy turn around, i knew what he was going to say and the second the video started i knew this gen was pretty much over for Sony in the RPG genre.

EDIT: And how could i forget they are re-releasing the N64 banjo games on XBL, this was a very good move by MS.  The show gets a 8/10, the wow factor gets a 10/10 though.

Before FF13: 4/10
After FF13: 10/10

Seems too much? Well, all the gaming forums were down! We have witnessed a historical moment in gaming! In 10 years when those best of e3 lists are shown the moment that Wada walks back on stage and says: "one more thing" will be legendary.

Were you really that surprised? As soon as it was clear Wada would end the show it was 100% certain he would have something significant to announce, no way Microsoft would end the show with the 3 titles we already knew from Square.
