Forums - Nintendo - RE0 Wii edition

Well, on second thought, RE0 was quite a fine game, obviously, a LOT of money and effort went into creating it, but it sold quite poorly on GameCube. So what with Wii selling so crazily well and the general great reception RE games seem to get on it, it would make sense for Capcom to re-release it on Wii, give the game a second chance and probably reap some nice profits. Shame about the lack of new Wii-specific controls though.

According to that list, at least the graphics will be better...

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Where does it say that? It only mentions the compression for CG cutscenes will be better. Seeing as those are prerendered movies and not in-game graphics, your comment makes no sense. :p

Does the game at least support 480P and widescreen?

@Cheebee: The game sold well. And there's no excuse about it, this is a quick cash-in. No one should be buying this, when the used game is available for 10 bucks or less.

Okami, RE0, RE4, Sengoku Basara are all straight ports.

How can making a new Wii game be so difficult. We Love Golf, Neopetz and Spyborgs aren't being developed by Capcom, just published.

RE:UC was a quick game made with reused GC assets. Harvey Birdman was a multiplat release across PSP, PS2 and Wii (Ported from PS2).

The only in house games so far are MM9, Z&W and MH3. I want them to at least reveal that secret Wii game they are talking about.

I thought that RE4 was a little more polished up for the Wii. Isn't it?

I'm confused by the controls in this RE0 game. You don't actually point at the screen with the remote? So there's absolutely no pointing or any use of motion controls? At least RE4 had that...

RE0 will be released ONLY in Japan.

Capcom USA decided NOT to release it in the States. So we shouldn't worry

RE4 for Wii had two main advantages over the GC release: Aiming with the IR pointer and bonus content from the PS2 release.

Previous RE games, including RE0, don't really have pointer game mechanic which can be mapped to IR. Since there's no bonus content and this game gains nothing from Wii controls, Wii owners and RE fans can only respond with a collective "WTF Capcom?"

But I thought the only thing people wanted was the pointing control? Isn't that enough for Wii owners to buy it?

what was the point of capcom porting this?

wii owners dont want this, we want RE5

Start thinking about getting a PS360 if you want to play high budget games.
