With all the e3 talk and speculation going on in these forums regarding nintendos e3 there's one ip more deserving of a new iteration than many being discussed that i've not seen mentioned........... Eternal darkness. I absolutely loved the gamecube version as did a lot of gamers, not sure how well it sold though. I've got a feeling ed2 could be a surprise announcement at e3 08, it's a nintendo owned ip (developed by sk i believe) and people have been crying for a sequel for a long time now and it would please us core gamers no end to have a sequel with the visuals the wii's capable of (the only fault i found with the gc version was the visuals) and the unique control method of the wii (maybe even have gc pad support as an option). What do you guys think, a realistic expectation or a fanboys dream? do you think we'll ever see an ed sequel if it isn't announced on tuesday?

I don't think so, they already have Fatal Frame 4 for this year and maybe Disaster: Day of Crisis.

It definitely won't happen as Silicon Knights have been maxed on trying to get Too Human out the door finally. That would be the only thing i'd expect from them at E3.

First a correction.  I mis-wrote.  I started playing ED for the third time.  I never beat it because I had a roommate that used to play my save files all the time.  So I would play a while, then he would pick it up and beat it while I was at work.  (Asshole.)  I am sure I've talked about this story somewhere on VG chartz  a long time ago; I forget that not everyone follows all my posts all the time.

oh right, lol, my girlfriend did that with re4 when i first got it on gc. Supposedely if you pick a different colour on each playthrough you get the proper endscene on the 3rd completion. Never tried it though.

I really wouldn't expect ED 2 announced at E3, in fact the only thing that could make it coming would be that Silicon Knights joins Nintendo again. Now that Nintendo doesn't have the developers of the original anymore, I can't see a reason for them to release a sequel since the original didn't have great sales, and Nintendo has enough other franchises they can develop sequels for.

Not a chance SK may go broke if Too Human bombs and they surely wont get another 2 sequels out of it.
