I'm not saying is a bad thing is in all systems, but I can't understand why they didn't announce it in all systems since the beginning. They even denied it was coming for XBLA and PSN =/

Got me.  Maybe they were confused at what it was going to be for... (the guy who said it was Wiiware only).

Or maybe they heard the question... said "No Wiiware only" then went to the developers and were like... "Hey... COULD we put this on Xbox and PS3 too?"

To which they replied... "Well yeah"

Maybe the number of 360 and PS3 fans who wanted it made them change their mind when they previously thought that only Wii owners were retro gamers.

I don't mind that it will be on other systems. I hate it when I game I want is not on the system I have, so I should not take joy in an exclusive game. That would be wrong. 8*>

Again though, I would love to know why Capcom was not up front about this from the start.

Because Capcom like lying. They did the same thing with Resident Evil 4, Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry 4 and Monster Hunter 3.

 

 

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Resident Evil 4 and Viewtiful Joe were GameCube exclusives, but the sales were not as good as expected and Capcom decided to port them. Monster Hunter was a result of Wii outselling PS3, and was not expected.... but Megaman 9? I really cannot see another reason, maybe is true they like to lie

Capcom announced it for PS2 with extra content before the GC one was released.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like wii owners are getting a dumbed down version of the game, it's the same game as on all consoles. Wii owners interested in this game should be happy they are getting it on their console.

Maybe they announced it for the Japanese market first and did not want to confuse their customers there by mentioning strange concepts like a "PS3" and "Xbox".



Hardcore gaming is a bubble economy blown up by Microsoft's $7 $6 billion losses.

Actually, I'm happy it is getting released on all. The more people that buy this game the better, maybe it will sell well enough for capcom to keep going this route.

Yeah.  I gotta admit i'd buy Megaman 10 for the confusion factor alone.  (Wait there is a 10 and an X??)

Though maybe the end of 9 will lead into the X series.

I don't think it really is a big deal to anybody. Wii owners just want high-qaulity non-gimped software. I doubt there are many people who will begrudge PS360 owners this game. It's not like the Wii doesn't already have a buttload of exclusive games already.

The only people that say they only like the X series were not around when the first 3 came out. The first 3 are the best of the series by far, followed by the original X.

Mega Man 2 is THE best... just to let you know.
