Because Capcom like lying. They did the same thing with Resident Evil 4, Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry 4 and Monster Hunter 3.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Resident Evil 4 and Viewtiful Joe were GameCube exclusives, but the sales were not as good as expected and Capcom decided to port them. Monster Hunter was a result of Wii outselling PS3, and was not expected.... but Megaman 9? I really cannot see another reason, maybe is true they like to lie

I really don't understand the fuss. I would have been angry if it didn't came to Wii, because it clearly is a good platform for it. But it's totally fine if it goes to all platforms.

@axum: yes it's the first multiplatform downloadable game.

I'm not saying is a bad thing is in all systems, but I can't understand why they didn't announce it in all systems since the beginning. They even denied it was coming for XBLA and PSN =/

Looking forward to it on XBLA.

Since we now have some meager WiiWare charts, it'll be nice to see how sales stack up on both versions on XBLA and WiiWare.
