I hate reviewing consoles.  It's an ever-changing experience and you can't possibly accurately review it.  I will however post impressions in a couple days when I've got a good feel for it.  So far they are great.

After watching the first episode of Planet Earth on Blu-ray I have no second thoughts about my purchase.  I already had a spare HDMI cable so I was watching it in all its HD glory.  It was absolutely breathtaking.

As long as it doesn't suddenly eat your Wii when you're not looking, you'll probably enjoy it.  Sounds like you'll get some of your money's worth out of it as a Bluray player if nothing else.

 

 

Blu-ray was a major selling point for me.


Played the Burst Limit demo.  Absolutely horrible.  Starting the Resistance demo now.

Fifa 08 and NHL 08 are both great games and easily the games I have played the most with my friends. Mmh, football and hockey never gets boring :)

I dont know what crack the person that said Burnout sucked was smoking, but Burnout Paradise was actually very very fun. Especially with a full MP session.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
