Forums - Microsoft - What does the x-box 360 have to offer?

I was considering buying a second console but am strongly inclined to get the wii as I cannot find anything different that the x-box offers to other consoles.

wii offers unique controllers that give a new and different experience.

The PS3 offers the cheapest blu ray player in the market.

X-Box 360 offers?

A large and well-designed online service with a lot of high quality exclusive and multi-platform games. However, if you already have a PS3, I advise you to buy a Wii instead.

imo the stronger game library and better online features. However as MH said if you have a PS3 already I can totally understand if you get the Wii for a different experience. I myself am in the same situation with the 360 and a Wii is a much more likely purchase for me.

the best online service i have ever experienced.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Xbox 360 offers nothing the PC doesn't offer better.

I am sure the 360 has the best games at the moment and the best online and the only reason not to get one is due to RROD. And I am sure people will say it has almost been fixed but as I work in a retail store I can say it hasn't. We are still getting back about 20% of all 360's sold. Some may be older models that have finally "broken" but I am not convinced RROD has been fixed.

Except for JRPG's, price point, and preferential treatment with regaurds to release dates....and my favorite, the ability to play while sprawled lazily on a sofa.

Did I mention 2 player games that don't require the internet?

Also fighting games.

....xbla is also nice.

It's also nice to be privy to not have to install games.

Or worry about system requirements.

The games are really cheap on ebay.

...and they don't have any of that anti-piracy bullcrap to worry about.

...so they're tradable.

Plus, games like The Force Unleashed aren't on PC, because of piracy.

...also there's a 3 year warranty for the 360 now, and it's $299.

...but besides those things, you're absolutely right. It takes a fool to buy a 360, when a relative sidegrade only costs you $1700 more, and requires only a couple of vast amounts of knowledge concerning modern computer parts, assembly, and software instillation/upgrades. Plug and play is so n00b casual, it's really disgusting. I, personally, hate it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

The 360 offers.......

Games - Better ones, and more than either the PS3 or Wii have, by far.
Online Content - More demos, freebies, and DLC than PS3 or Wii have, by a huge margin.

Imthe - Care to tell us if these consoles are Falcon, or not? Or are you bothering to check before spouting off that it's still at 20-30%?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

3 year warranty. 3 year jibbering warranty. Why don't you send those tards home and tell them, "Hey, you have a 3 year warranty with Microsoft. WTF are you doing coming back to my store with the reciept of a console you bought 2 years ago. You ignorant n00b. Please gtfo go home and call microsoft and diaf immediately after, kthxbai."

That's quality management, imo.
