1 I agree, this always happened and always will happen with new technologies, it's not a sign of success or failure
2 This should be an advantage for BD, making transition smoother and less scary for users, compared to the cleaner break with the past DVD was from VHS.
3 Yes, HD-DVD was scaring, as MS had a much stronger control on it, especially on the interactive part of the standard.
4 If you mean watching movies on PCs, well PC screens are normally smaller than TVs, even considering that on PC you watch them closer, the feel watching movies is better on TV.
