What do they teach people in Austria about WW1 anyway?

Do people think they were screwed over there or do they think the rest of the Empire was a bunch of putzes and their happy to be gone?

If i remember correctly, the place he was shot is now a muesuem.

You know what's even better in Austria then Schnitzel? Kaiserschmarre! With vanillacustard... Damn..

I went skiing there for a couple of years. Great scenery but can't say I've talked much to the locals as I was with school.

I don't remember much about this subject anymore, WW1 was covered in only a few lessons in school. Is your second question related to what people thought right after WW1 or what the people in the present think about it? The people in the present are pretty much indifferent because it is history.

Back then in the early 20th century, problems arose because of many different peoples with different languages united within one country. I think it would have been only a matter of time before Austria-Hungary would have fallen apart, one way or another. You just have to look back at the last 20 years how many European countries split up and some of them were parts of Austria-Hungary 100 years ago.

But what exactly do you want to know?

The people of now was what i was wondering about really.

Fu**ing, Austria
A tiny village from Austria, Fu**ing has a population of 93 people and apparently they spend quite large sums of money replacing the sign from the entrance of the village, because British tourists made a habit out of stealing them as a souvenir.



The hilarious part of the sign below, is that under the F***ing sign, there is another saying "Please, not so fast". A good match, though they probably had something else in mind. Maybe telling drivers not to speed up in their village.
