Is your second question related to what people thought right after WW1 or what the people in the present think about it? The people in the present are pretty much indifferent because it is history. Back then in the early 20th century, problems arose because of many different peoples with different languages united within one country. I think it would have been only a matter of time before Austria-Hungary would have fallen apart, one way or another. You just have to look back at the last 20 years how many European countries split up and some of them were parts of Austria-Hungary 100 years ago. But what exactly do you want to know? |
