LO is a great game and every bit as good as last generations FFs. Graphically its a delight and the characterisation is pretty good. It easily has better dialogue than 90% of the JRPGs out there and most of the characters are actually memorable.

It is easily the best JRPG released this generation and a hugely underrated game.

This game's dialouge never felt cheesy to me so I agree with you.

Not even when those 2 kids start singing? I think it's the part where you meet your wife.

You obviously dont have kids:) And dude the OP has only played 7 hours. NO SPOILERS.

How much longer and better is LO than Blue Dragon?

It's not much longer, but they are not in the same league. LO is quite a way better than BD. BD wasnt bad it was just good. But LO is awesome.

You are right, I don't have kids.  What does having kids have to do with this?  Does having kids automatically make any scene with kids, cute and adorable?  Btw, I love kids, I taught Sunday school at my church for 3 years while I was in college.  And sorry if that was a spoiler, I have no clue how far along in the game my friend was when he was playing it.

according to ign and most gaming sites, the best jrpg is folklore this gen! well jrpg's suck this gen so for this gen lost oddesy is good, but compared to last it is garbage.

Folkore is not an RPG.  More like an action/adventure game with RPG elements.  IGN did give it a 9/10 but if you go to gamerankings and go to Folklore, you would know that it got really mixed reviews with scores going as low as a 4/10.

Yes. Yes it is. You even level up by absorbing Folks. With each lvl up, you get stronger, your defense and HP goes way up.

So it IS an action RPG while the combat is all action.

What a scene hey? It makes Aeris scene seem happy. Likw I said it's the way the story is told. Emotions are pulled left right and centre. If I was you I'd buckle up cause the game just gets better.

I wanted to open a topic about that, but, now than you say it, i want to ask to everyone... how do yo define a rpg game?? because there are rpgs like mass effec, ff, blue dragon, The world ends with you, than are diferents games, but they have in common the character level, hp, experience, costum characters... long story, but, what makes a rpg game be rpg?
