Seems like this game is shaping up to be pretty nice. I was a huge fan of the Battlefront series (especially the 1st) and I hope that this game delivers.

never played a LOFR game, but this one looks promising.
i enjoy playing a 'what-if' scenario.

So... battlefront with LOTR characters? how would that work out? it would mostly be hand-to-hand combat.

 It seems like they are using an archetype system and if im not mistaken there are several ranged combatants to choose from. A friend of mine found an article explaining what specific classes there would be but I can't come up with them off the top of my head. I'll find out what mag it came from tonight.

I think the classes are mages, archers, warriors and scouts.

The game looks quite nice, I might get it, it should have great online

 Yeh I did some more searching and it seems like they are using just those 4 classes plus, with "success on the battlefield" you'll be able to unlock heroes etc etc. It seems the archetype system ended not being implemented but its no big deal. Can't wait to play the coop

Hopefully they got Lurtz in this game he was a fav of mine from BfmE, Think he was the Urak-Hai that killed Boromir, didnt have a name in book or film.

I love Lord of the Rings. I never play a game based on it but Conquest looks really interesting

Nasty hobbitses got it coming! Pretty linear from hands-on. The score will probably save it for me. Bad time of year but multi-plat. might do 200k fw and .9 m eventually?
