can some one let me know how the rank works ?where can I see my rank and the rank required to open modes and weapons?sorry I just bought the game last night

I would like to point out my first ever online game was an 8 man free for all where i came....3rd.

I then followed this with 11 (yes 11) consecutive 1st place finishes.

Oh yes

I hate the fact that you have to unlock old school. The one game mode where experienced players don't have better perks and weapons to slaughter newbs with has to be unlocked and is therefore unavailable to newbs. It really should have been available from level 1.

I got sick of getting killed all the times. I just play with my own friends.

Its all about training .

I have been loathe to jump online because I know the curve is extremely high for a noob. However, it sounds like spartan, Vagabond and I should all get together and play some rounds, that way we don't get our asses handed to us. Since we are noobs and all.

you should try playing crysis, i just get pwned, i die like every 2 secs, really man them pepole who play online must live on that game

Haha i know how you feel Vagabond... i used to get my ass handed to me playing on my friend's 360. Then once i got my own i picked up the game and am addicted big time.

Although i will say most of the later weapons/perks really don't do much for me... I'm satisfied with using the basic M16 with a scope or the RPD with the grip for better accuracy.

One thing i absolutely HATE though is how everyone bitches when someone uses the Juggernaut perk (I used to be a serious offender of this myself haha). It's just funny because about 95% of the people who play COD4 regularly use the Stopping Power and Deep Impact perks cuz thats the only way they can kill people... Juggernaut doesn't increase your aim or killing ability at all, it still takes plenty of skill to take down your opponents especially when ur dealing with a bunch of campers who like to sit back and snipe at people all day. All Juggernaut does is help you last longer against these fools.

If you really want to piss people off Vagabond... use Juggernaut and Last Stand together, and watch the flame wars that ensue... it's pure entertainment at its finest!

The top ranked players use cheats, glitches, have no lives and camp all day. That is how they win. i played online shooter for half an hour got killed 5 times got bored and never played online again. Single player mode I can beat most shooters on highest difficulty setting but online like I said only played half an hour got bored could not stand the cheats.

 I'm starting to use the m16 again these days especially for team games due to having only vets left for the most part and the snipers running amok! I still use my trusty RPD and Ak-47 for free-for-alls though.

I think its better to use a silenced Ak-47 for small maps. That weapon drops people like butterflies if you know how to shoot right!
