I will never understand why animal crossing is popular i played both games and all you do is NOTHING!

It's funny how you twist things. Comparing console games and handheld games? Ok, how many console games sell 10 million copies compared to handheld games? It's called accessibility. Stop trying to convince yourself that the same people who buy handheld games will buy console games. Super Mario bros for the DS sold 14.88mil copies. How many copies did Mario Galaxy sell again?

Nintendo are pulling out the big guns all they need now for the perfect "ninty" E3 is for a Zelda that kid game and a new mario.
ninty in quotes as i dont like these kind of games so to me they have still lost

It's silly to say someone won E3 and it hasn't happened yet.

Anyone saying Ninty won E3 is silly indeed.

I bet you said the same thing about Wii Fit last year, eh?  Did you get owned sir?

I said it will sell big numbers (Fitness devices are a huge market), but it won't be the transforming game every Nintendo fan was making it out to be.

And until now I am correct. 5m copies is pretty awesome but not yet transforming the gaming world.

If you take Kid Icarus, Animal Crossing and Wii Music only Animal Crossing has the potential to get into that area. Now thats not bad ,but hardly dominating the other two who still have a far bigger lineup. But self-congratulating seems to be an important ritual on this site

 

And yes the Wii will still sell more copies. But it would have sold more if Nintendo had announced packages of mud for 50$.

totally agree! Animal Crossing will be HUGE on the Wii.

All this long delay happened in order to fully develope and explore the On-Line possibilities.

Animal Crossing? Not exactly the biggest Gamecube game. Bigger on the DS but this is a home console again. Probably a huge title in Japan but outside ...
I won't talk about Wii Music lol.

I would say Nintendo does the bare necessities to compete unless they have some hidden bigger guns ready for E3.

But the "Who wins E3" question will be answered by the God of War 3 trailer anyway. Perhaps not the best selling but definitely the best game to be announced

Having sold so many units on the Nintendo DS and being so popular with the demographics Nintendo is trying to capture means that this game could see far more development resources than any previous Animal Crossing game. It may not sound that important, but if you increased the handful of activities that you're able to perform in Animal Crossing: Wild World, added more ways that the world changed from day-to-day and over time, the game could become something unimagineable.
